In
my stone sculpting, I incorporate stone and bronze to create a
style of my own. Stone is always a challenge because it tends
to have a mind of it’s own. I teach sculpting in my outdoor
studio in the spring and summer.

I began weaving 25 years ago, and was fortunate to have a weaving
teacher who was dedicated to the art of weaving. Weaving is a
magnet to me because of the texture and color. While holding yarn
in your hands, you can almost feel the color vibrate. It is a
feast for the eyes and a challenge on the loom. I like to weave
many different items; scarves, raunas, ponchos, other wearable
items, and blankets. I am currently doing a series of saddle blankets.
Weaving is always in progress—come and watch. We are always
available by phone.
From the ancient Egyptians to the Incas of South America, hard
shell gourds have been used for centuries.
Mother Nature
has created one-of-a-kind shape and texture for each individual
gourd.
I carve and etch the designs, which are inspired by the Native
Americans of the Southwest, so they look like a piece of pottery.
I also weave yarns onto the surface, using the gourds as my loom.
